Technifutur – 23.06.2025

Training in the industrial sector beyond national and linguistic borders? And what added value can the advancing digital technology bring not only to the professions concerned, but also to people? Students from Germany were made aware of these possibilities.

The students from Ritzefeld Gymnasium in Stolberg (Germany) visited the Technifutur technical and training center in Seraing, Liège (Belgium). The local staff explained to the young people the training courses available at the center and the resulting career opportunities in the French-speaking region of the Euregio Meuse-Rhine.

At the same time, it also demonstrated what the future has in store for the various industrial sectors. Divided into different groups, the students were able to see the transition from conventional machine processing to modern manufacturing and training thanks to digital technology.

In keeping with the spirit of the times, questions were also asked about artificial intelligence (AI). What role will AI play in the training and professions of today and tomorrow? Will certain professions become obsolete and disappear as a result of AI? How will the position of workers change in the face of AI in industry? In the end, the experts from Technifutur were able to emphatically reassure the young visitors that despite the rapid development of AI, people will remain central and necessary.
