CeCoTePe
The Centre de Coopération Technique et Pédagogique (CeCoTePe) is the training and research centre associated with the Haute École de la Province de Liège (HEPL). In addition to its solid expertise and extensive network developed over the years, CeCoTePe also benefits from the expertise and networks of the HEPL, as well as from the ones from the secondary and professional schools of the Province of Liège.
Over the years, CeCoTePe has built up a wealth of experience in the field of training (more than 5,000 people trained each year), and more particularly in training teachers. The Centre trains around 3,000 teachers a year on a variety of subjects.
CeCoTePe is also actively involved in a number of international, national, European and Euregional projects. It also has a sound knowledge of the Interreg landscape, having already participated in a number of Interreg projects as project partner and lead partner. Examples of Interreg (Euregio)-Meuse-Rhine projects include THE, IKIC, FUNFORLAB, Skills4You, DigitalTwinAcademy and Connect’ED. For Interreg Grande Région, we can mention Bridge and Engagement’GR.
It should be noted that CeCoTePe is very active in the fields of educational innovation, digital technology and new technologies. In particular, the Centre was lead partner in the Interreg EMR project “Skills4You”, which aimed to develop digital skills and differentiation in secondary and higher education practices.
CeCoTePe was also a partner in the Interreg EMR project “FunForLab”, during which it developed a virtual reality serious game for higher education colleges training medical laboratory technologists.
All this experience acquired over more than 50 years of activity and the link that the centre has developed between the educational and professional worlds makes CeCoTePe’s participation in the Connect’ED project relevant in many respects. This solid foundation will enable it to successfully carry out the missions it has set itself in this project.
Project contribution
In the Connect’ED project, CeCoTePe has multiple missions.
The Centre mainly contributes to activities linked to networking with secondary education institutions and to the training of trainers and teachers.
The Centre is also responsible for recruiting schools in the Province of Liège to join the Connect’ED network of schools and connecting them to schools and companies selected by partners in other regions of the Euregio.
The Centre is participating in the creation of the guide dedicated to teaching professionals, as well as in its distribution to schools in the Province of Liège, its evaluation and optimisation.
CeCoTePe participates in the development of train-the-trainer programs and offers them to its target audience for maximum dissemination in its territory. It then monitors and reports on the activities carried out by the trainers.
Once the preliminary phase is complete, CeCoTePe supports the Liège schools from the Connect’ED network in hosting the consortium’s activities in their schools (e.g. mobile escape room with virtual reality, presentations in schools, etc.) and in organising Euregional activities (visits to Euregional companies, conferences, career days).
Of course, CeCoTePe is willing to promote and communicate the activities set up by the consortium to the schools on its territory.
