District of Düren

The district of Düren with its 15 municipalities is regionally embedded in the border triangle and the Euregionality is lived here. With its diverse tasks, particularly in the areas of district development and planning as well as economic development, the district of Düren can look back on many years of experience as a partner in INTERREG projects. Most recently, the district of Düren was a project partner in the INTERREG V project EMRLingua. The Regional Education Office (RBB), which is based in the Düren District Office for Schools and Education, pursues a holistic approach to education that explicitly includes the extracurricular sector. For 15 years, the RBB has been working on various projects with schools, parents’ representatives, youth welfare services, advice centres and independent providers. The aim is to provide all children, young people and their families with good opportunities for education and participation. The work of the RBB is characterised by close cooperation with regional and supra-regional experts and institutions.

With the Interreg VI project Connect’ED, RBB creates further prospects for education and employment. As a network partner, RBB accompanies the processes within the project and supports interested schools in Euregional study and career guidance. It works closely with the municipal coordination centre for the transition from school to work and incorporates their expertise.
