Innovative career orientation with the mobile Escape Room and VR technology
Meet the Youngsters contributes to the Interreg VI project in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine with unique, digital alternatives to standard career guidance. With a mobile Escape Room and VR glasses, we bring workplaces and real-life challenges directly to secondary school students.
The mobile Escape Room has been developed around the theme of energy consumption in a fictitious candy factory. In teams, the participants, under time pressure, solve a system failure that leads to unnecessary energy loss. During this interactive experience, students get to know the technical sector in a playful way and discover how they can make an impact in their future career.
The VR glasses offer virtual tours that give students a unique insight into realistic workplaces. This innovative approach makes it possible to bring the working environment to the students, introducing them to different professions in an accessible and inspiring way.
With these resources, Meet the Youngsters ensures that professional orientation is not only informative, but also interactive and future-oriented. In this way, young people are better prepared for their choices for the labour market.
